I Couldn't Resist...
From a funny little email I got today... Are you sick of high paid teachers? Teachers’ hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work 9 or 10 months a year! It’s time we put things in perspective and pay them for what they do - baby sit! We can get that for less than minimum wage. That’s right. Let’s give them $3.00 an hour and only the hours they worked; not any of that silly planning time, or any time they spend before or after school. That would be $19.50 a day (7:45 to 3:00 PM Each parent should pay $19.50 a day for these teachers to baby-sit their children. Now how many do they teach in day…maybe 30? So that’s $19.50 x 30 = $585.00 a day. However, remember they only work 180 days a year!!! I am not going to pay them for any vacations. LET’S SEE…. That’s $585 X 180= $105,300 peryear. (Hold on! My calculator needs new batteries). What about those special education teachers and the ones with Master’s degrees? Well, we could pay them minimum wage ($7.75), and just to be fair, round it off to $8.00 an hour. That would be $8 X 6 1/2 hours X 30 children Wait a minute — there’s something wrong here! There sure is! The average teacher’s salary (nation wide) is $50,000. $50,000/180 days = $277.77/per day/30 students=$9.25/6.5 hours = $1.42 per hour per student–a very inexpensive baby-sitter and they even EDUCATE your kids!) WHAT A DEAL!!!!
with 45 min. off for lunch and plan — that equals 6 1/2 hours).
X 180 days = $280,800 per year.

HAPPY THANKSGIVNG!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone stuffs themselves silly with obscene amounts of delicious food and takes a little time to give thanks for all the blessings in their lives.
And while you're at it, enjoy some of these Thanksgiving jokes!
What is the turkey's favorite black tie celebration?
The Butter Ball
Did you hear about the X rated turkey?
It was served with very little dressing.
Which side of the turkey has the most feathers?
The outside!
How does a turkey drink her wine?
In a gobble-let
What is the difference between a chicken and a turkey?
Chickens celebrate Thanksgiving!
And my favorite...
A few days before Thanksgiving, a lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at her local grocery store, but she couldn't find one big enough for her family. She asked the stock boy, "Do these turkeys get any bigger?" The stock boy replied, "No ma'am, they're dead."

How Many Pain Can You Stand?
My sister sent me a hilarious little video clip that just made my day. It's called How Many Pain Can You Stand? It's 6 guys in a library trying to be quiet while playing a card game. Usually that wouldn't be too difficult, but this game is a little bit different.
Okay, a lot different.
If you have 9 minutes to spare and a slightly sick sense of humor, I totally recommend you watch. Enjoy!

Swamp Thing 1 & 2
While browsing our local Walmart today, I came across some facial mud masks that I decided to buy. When I got home, I tested it out and then promptly begged Mike to let me put some on him too. To my surprise, he didn't even protest against it for that long. He's either a good sport, or he just got it over with because he knew I'd eventually wear him down.
I also bought a pair of these babies while I was there.
Pardon me for posting panties, but I thought they were hilarious.
PS- I really hate the word panties. I just couldn't resist the alliteration.

A Dog Blog Just For Sam
Daaaaa, hi Sam. It's me, Buddy.
Meggie told me that you were missing me! Daaaa I miss you too! I hope they are giving you lots of treats while you are getting smart at obedience school. Can you roll over yet? I hope that you come visit me soon. But don't worry about me, I am having lots of fun here at home.
Here's Chewy sticking out his tongue at me. You will pay, cat.
Here's that bone stealing friend of mine.
We like to play. Wanna watch? (Caution, we doggies are loud. So are the humans.) Notice that Mom sounds like a man when we jump on her. She's so funny!
Here's me again. Daaaa, don't I look regal?
And again.
I hate to tell you...
but that creepy leprechaun is back... and he's a remote control hog... he won't let me watch Animal Planet.
And those darn dinosaurs have migrated to the piano.
Well I'm tired from my puppy romp. I'm going to go lay on doggie island and have a nice late night doggie nap until they let me go to bed. I hope those dinos don't keep me awake playing Chopsticks again.
Daaaaa, night night sister!
Love,
Buddy

A Limerick for my Sister
Samanatha is my wee sister,
When she's at school, I will miss her.
Sometimes she is mean,
but ever so clean,
and I hope that she never gets blisters.
The End.
Gosh, I'm so good...
Good luck at school and have a great year Sammy!
